Smart School Councils – Association for Citizenship Teaching’s Organisation of the Year 2023!

At Smart School Councils, we are absolutely delighted to share the news that we have won the ACT award for 'Citizenship Organisation of the Year' 2023! Yay!

ACT are an organisation who are focused on providing young people with the opportunity to take part in civic learning to become active citizens, so we were 'bowled over' to be recognised by an organisation that shares such similar values as ourselves.

We will continue to work with our amazing schools and teachers to help raise the voices of their young people, and to help enact pupil-led change in their settings. We want to thank our members for their commitment to our programme and for their dedication to prepare students to become active, engaged citizens in their communities! You're amazing!

Thank you also to the judges at ACT who recognised the work that we are doing with schools and young people at SSC. It really means a lot.
